What Do You Mean Non-Toxic?

OSMOSLAY is not poisonous. Its mode of action (the way it kills bugs) is based on a physical mode of action. This means that instead of poisoning the bug we attack it physically, in this case we make it impossible for the bugs skin to keep the water inside it. Effectively the bug dehydrates and dies.

This is why OSMOSLAY ultra-concentrate is considered a skin irritant and a serious eye irritant. Because of this appropriate safety gear is strongly advised while mixing.

I would strongly discourage eating OSMOSLAY (or any other sanitiser). However, the oral LD50 of OSMOSLAY Ultra-concentrate is >5000mg/kg. This means that to have a 50% chance of being poisoned to death you would need to eat more than 5000mg of OSMOSLAY Ultra-concentrate per Kg of your bodyweight. 5ml of OSMOSLAY Ultra-concentrate weighs about 5g, or 5000mg. An average adult weighs about 85Kg. So, to have a 50 percent chance of poisoning yourself to death an average 85Kg adult would have to eat more than 85 of the 5ml vials of OSMOSLAY ultra-concentrate.I doubt that is even physically possible….

Just for reference, the LD50 of dish washing detergent is the same as OSMOSLAY ultra-concentrate, Lactose (from milk) has LD50 of 10,000mg/kg, and table salt is 3000mg/kg. So you could look at oral LD50 data and determine OSMOSLAY ultra-concentrate is about twice as toxic as milk lactose, but about half as toxic as table salt. Thats before you dilute it. There is an interesting table of LD50 data on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Median_lethal_dose).

Toxicty is well defined. Below is the table of toxicity classes as originally defined and published by three experts on the topic Gosselin, Smith, and Hodge.

Probable Oral Lethal Dose (Human)

Toxicity Class Dose For 70Kg person
6. Super Toxic Less than 5mg/Kg 1 grain, less than 7 drops.
5. Extremely Toxic 5-50mg/Kg 4ml (7 drops to a teaspoon)
4. Very Toxic 50-500mg/Kg 30ml (between 1 tsp and 1 fund ounce)
3. Moderately Toxic 0.5-5g/Kg 30-600ml (between 1 quid ounce and 1 pint)
2.Slightly Toxic 5-15g/Kg 600-1200ml (between 1 pint and 1 quart)
1. Practically non-toxic above 15g/Kg More than 1200ml (more than 1 quart)

As you can see, OSMOSLAY Ultra-concentrate (5000mg/kg=5g/kg) falls into class 2 (slightly toxic). Once diluted into spray with water this rises to 10L/kg, or 10,000g/Kg! This is more than 600 times the threshold for class 1, Practically non-toxic.
