We are happy to deliver OSMOSLAY to you globally. Our Packaging has been carefully designed to meet all of the requirements of international transport by air, land or sea.
Freight Requirements.
OSMOSLAY has been assigned the UN 3082 shipping classification. Being shipped in small volumes means it is covered by Special Provision SP375 (Also SPA197). This provision was introduced in the 18th revised edition of the UN Model Regulations and subsequently implemented into dangerous goods legislation by IATA(Air, SP A197 in 57th edition of IATA), ADR(Land), and IMDG(Sea, Section 2.10.2.7 IMDG 2014).
The provision, as quoted from ADR states:
“375: These substances when carried in a single or combination packagings containing a net quantity per single or inner packaging of 5L or less for liquids or having a net mass per single or inner packaging of 5Kg or less for solids, are not subject to any other provisions of ADR provided the packagings meet the general provisions of 4.1.1.1, 4.1.1.2, and 4.1.1.4 to 4.1.1.8”
(Full details of the packaging requirements for IMDG and IATA can be found in IMDG sections 4.1.1.1, 4.1.1.2 and 4.1.1.4 to 4.1.1.8 and IATA Sections 5.0.2.4.1, 5.0.2.6.1.1 and 5.0.2.8.)

Air (ICAO / IATA) Requirements
Documentation:
The master air waybill does not need a statement. A dangerous goods declaration is not required
General Packaging Requirements:
Packages must meet requirements in section 5.0.2.4.1, 5.0.2.6.1.1 and 5.0.2.8
Marking and Labelling Requirements: Not applicable
“For air shipments that contain either UN3082 or UN3077 there is an exemption in the 60th edition IATA DGR (Dangerous Goods Regulations).”
The exemption under IATA special provision A197 allows for packages that have inner packages (plastic bottles, glass bottles, plastic bags) of 5 L for UN3082 and 5 kg for UN3077 or less. For single packages such as plastic drums, steel drums and fibreboard boxes the limit is also 5 L for UN3082 and 5 kg for UN3077.
IATA 60th edition DGR citation:
A197 (375) These substances when transported in single or combination packagings containing a net quantity per single or inner packaging of 5 L or less for liquids or having a net mass of 5 kg or less for solids, are not subject to any other provisions of these Regulations provided the packaging meet the general provisions of 5.0.2.4.1, 5.0.2.6.1.1 and 5.0.2.8
As our packaging complies with all of the regulations, this means Osmoslay does not require the LQ Diamond mark or any other transport related label or marking on the outer packaging. Additionally, a dangerous goods note will not be required to prepare for air or sea freight.
Packaging Details.
Packaging is clean, of good quality, and designed to survive normal transport and handling including changes in temperature, humidity and pressure.
Packaging is not permeable, reactive, or affected by its contents.
Their is sufficient air space in packaging so no leakage or permanent distortion of the package occurs as a result of expansion of liquid caused by temperatures likely to occur during transport.
Inner packagings are packed in such a way that they cannot break, puncture, or leak into the outer packaging. Any leakage of the inner contents will not impair the protective properties of the outer packaging.
OSMOSLAY Packaging.
OSMOSLAY is shipped in 5ml polypropylene tubes that are lab tested and certified to the IATA 95kPA standard for safe air shipping of samples and the DOT 95kPa standard for safe ground shipping. IATA 95 kPa certification ensures containers are leak-resistant under differential pressure conditions such as in air transport. This certification requires containers to prove capable of withstanding, without leakage, an internal pressure producing a pressure differential of not less than 95 kPa (0.95 bar, 13.8 psi).
They are fitted with elastomeric sealing caps, and are not only pressure resistant but safe to autoclave or centrifuge at speeds of up to 12,000 RCF (12000 x the force of gravity).
Polypropylene tubes will not react with Osmoslay in any way, and they are not overfilled.
These tubes are enclosed in a sealed plastic bag with the label and an absorbing agent that is capable of absorbing the entire contents in the event of leakage.
The OSMOSLAY starter kit has the dispensing syringe containing 0.5ml of OSMOSLAY contained within the trigger bottle with absorbent material so there is no risk of leakage.
For all of the above reasons we are sure OSMOSLAY will reach you in perfect condition anywhere in the world!
